The Governing Body

The Governing Body plays a key role in the running of our school.

The Three Core Functions of our Governing Body are:         

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction 
  • Holding Executive Leaders to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure money is well spent

The Chair of Governors is Mr Danny Melling, there are 12 Governors in total and they meet regularly each term to discuss all aspects of school management, including current legislation. There are separate committees which deal with curriculum, finance & staffing, buildings & any proposed changes to buildings.

We are fortunate to have such an excellent team of Governors who give their time and expertise for the benefit of the school.
